Just a few quick and cute cards...

Here are a couple of cards going out this week. Both were super simple but just give the illusion of difficulty :-)

This card was made for a new teacher. We had to move classrooms mid-way through the school year, which has weighed heavy on our heart but is completely necessary. Our new teacher will hopefully give us the extra help that we need to play a bit of catch up and work through a few learning barriers.... I cut the apple using my Silhouette SD and then just layered everything on card stock that was already lined like notebook paper. Finished off with some Twinery Cherries Jubilee twine and punched the edges to look authentic. The letter stickers and the ruler ribbon are both Girl's Paperie - both are from a Xmas line if you can believe it...

This next card is going out to my niece for an early birthday. She is a leap year baby - and doesn't get very many "real" birthdays - so we are going to let her spend her birthday money early this year :-) I created a recessed panel by floating the top layer and punching holes to show the patterned paper underneath. I created this tissue paper bow by fringing and twisting the tissue paper just like you would say something like a ribbon rose.

If you can't tell - I'm totally "in" to fringe lately :-) Love those Martha Stewart fringe scissors - makes quick work of creating cute fringe...

Hugs and hope everyone gets some time to create something beautiful this week!!!
