This week's creations

Hello Friends! Right now I am working on some cards for an online sketch challenge so I'll post those as they are done.... Here are my creations so far this week:

So I bought these books for my sons' Valentine's gifts. The insides of the books were really great (especially for the $1 I paid). Unfortunately, the outer cover looked like this:

I asked my twin boys how they would like for them to look and here is what they said:

Sam - "I want mine to be orange with a rainbow".
So here is his finished book:
Just used SU! cardstock, Doodlebug stickers, and finished with Modge Podge.

Jake - "I want mine to be purple with a robot".
Here is Jake's finished book:

Autumn Leaves clear stamp Astroboy, Doodlebug stickers, and white gel pen Sakura for Stampin' Up! Finished off with Modge Podge...

Made my husband's birthday card tonight - I am not very good at masculine cards but I think I pulled this one off okay. Wild Asparagus paper, SU! stamps Label Classics and sentiment, Prima Flowers, and SU! chocolate chip wide grossgrain ribbon:

So I joined an ATC swap online, and I really wanted to create something using this beautiful napkin given to me by my late Grandmother who loved to watercolor.

My favorite flowers are Poppies, so I really wanted to do it justice. I found an old article in Papercrafts magazine that had wild flower ATC's and I knew I had to create this:

I love this one so much.....
Look Grandma - my first water color!! (Well pencils anyway :-)
Here is a random card I made this week. I cut out the flower from the Time Well Spent set by SU! twice and bent the petals forward around a pencil. I really like the color combinations...

So the countdown begins until my new camera arrives in the mail. Thank goodness for HSN easy pay - I get to break it up into 5 payments.... No interest and I get the camera right away, that's a good thing! I need a new one so bad....
Fun fact for the week: Diet Dr. Pepper probably does not contain fruit juice, and does not serve well as a substitue for such when you did not have time to visit the store for fruit juice during a given day. It does, however, serve as somewhat of an "energy drink" when you intake a sippy cup full and only weigh 40 lbs. Let the Supernanny lashings begin.
I had not had a chance to get to the store for juice boxes so we doubled up on chocolate milk for the day. Upon leaving for work, my wonderful husband says to our 5 year old twin boys, "Why don't you just ask mommy for some soda?"... He then proceeded to leave for work and left me with what then became a bedtime fiasco. So of course my boys were all about the soda factor from that moment on. They threw a fit and said, "Daddy said we could have some!". So I am thinking, well they very rarely get soda (even though we drink diet). At this point, I am seriously rationalizing the fact in my head that Diet Dr. Pepper probably contains some fruit juice so it might actually be a good thing. Two sippy cups, two boys, and two hours later the remains of what had begun as nicely made beds and a clean bedroom looked like a class 3 tornado had torn through there....
Just how many times did the boys come out of their room to mess around, go pee, get a drink, or just hide in the hallway you ask?? I stopped counting at like 30 ish... And you would think that they would sleep in with going to bed two hours later than usual. No such luck, not my kids, not my life..... I figure I will sleep when I enter the retirement home (in Florida) that I have been guilting my children into paying for since birth....
Have a good week everyone!!
